Artist's Comments

I'm posting although I’m still not here. At this point I may be here but I’ve yet to decide. I feel like it sos... yeah. It's nothing special. XP Another experiment more than anything trying to figure out the whole digital coloring while keeping the lines... and not killing myself or the computer in the process.

This is what I've learned. I can go as bright as white and there are no probs, it's nice contrast etc. But, I don't want to choose a color darker than my lines and start shading or filling large areas of color in with it. I'm not quite sure why, but once I start using colors darker than the lines I start itching to remove the lines all together >_> begin to fiddle with the line art layer transparency for hours on end, and than I go insane. So, to prevent the insanity, I must try to hold back on the contrast and that extra layer of shadows I love to use. I should also try some self-control with the line art transparency but I know it's never going to happen. =_= Digital options are amazing and cool and holy shit wow, but they also make me insane and unable to focus properly by removing the boundaries traditional art sets up. The insanity comes from being a very indecisive person with waaaayy too many choices to choose from, I think. Will I learn from this? No. But at least now I know why the lines bug me so. XD

Yesh, he has pink hair. No, I don't know what compelled me. It's cute. >_>

excellent job with the horns! They're set perfectly on his head... forgive me if I sound too excited. I myself have great difficulty with horns, so I like it when I find someone else who can do very good ones ^^;

boy, he's looking really horny...

with them horns on his head...

dear god im sorry lol im tired and stupid things come out of me when im tired. as my friend would say, im going into 'love you with my heart' mode. I love this picture, with my heart.. i really do... i like the spikes on the shoulders. I like his collar and shoulders... and the pattern on the horns gives them so much depth. Its amazing how symmetrical he looks excluding the hair. I like that with the hair.. like it very much! ^_^ nice job!

How's the story coming? Any bumps on the writer's road?

Heh heh.. I understand you.. I'm an indecisive person too.. Whenever I color digitally I can never make up my mind with what I want.. So many choices! O_O And if I don't like something.. UNDO! I always end up with about 3-4 versions of the same picture, but with different color choice.. >.< It makes me so frustrated!

:XD: For me it's the exact opposite! :glomp: I've tried to learn to digitally color without the lines, but I always get the urge to add them in somewhere in the process! XD Lineart is one of my greatest passions. I think your problem is that you're too much of a genius with digital painting. D: Oh, woe...

What I love about digital art is the OPTIONS o_o But like you, I get overwhelmed with all the choices I can make :XD: I tend to just forget about them with that one-track mind of mine.

His hair is bitchin'.

If you have attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this in your signature.

wow. your coloring skills are amazing. this is most awesome. what program was this in?
yeah all the options available digitally are liable to drive you insane... that's why you just have to make a decision at one point. what looks the best? personally i like lineart... i wouldn't want you to play with the transparency so much that it vanishes. but that's just my own personal taste.
